Traditional Edwardian drawing room

Requirement:  Decorator to carry out restoration and redecoration to a traditional drawing room in a historic Edwardian home in Lewes.

Works carried out:  Interior decoration –  The ornate, plaster moulded ceiling was exceptionally intricate and to achieve the best result we masked off the room and sprayed the detail in. The radiators were demounted and then sandblasted and powdercoated to match the colour of the new woodwork. The walls, woodwork and ceiling were then filled, prepared and painted. The papered walls were hung with a muted taupe paper carrying a subtle, dark rampant lion design. Distressed oak flooring was then overlaid. The result is a calming and beautiful room which is perfectly suited to the ambience of the house.
